One story towers above all the rest at Oshkosh

The control tower at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is Crazy Town to normal mortals, yet it is comprehensible and functional to a select crew of FAA controllers who keep the planes coming in with an assured meter and calm comms.

We were able to see fuel leaking from the right tank while in flight, so we diverted to ZZZ and requested priority sequencing due to our fuel loss. We were able to see the fuel gauge dropping in level.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 is over, and as the last prop wash wafts across the matted acres of now-empty grass parking spaces at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Wisconsin, early figures show that 650,000 visitors descended upon the Experimental Aircraft Association grounds during the week of July 25-31.
