He soloed at 14 years old and flew until he was 84. He passed four years later at 88. A World War II Air Force veteran, he also owned a 1947 Globe Swift for 40 years.”

Bob Showalter submitted these photos and a note: “Dove 31 is a Citation X passing Dove 26, a Citation XL. We were both flying the arrival for the Special Olympics airlift into KORL on June 12, 2022. Dove 31 was at FL410, Dove 26 at 40,000 feet. Yes a Citation X is a lot faster than a Citation XL. We all had a wonderful time moving these special athletes and coaches back and forth to the games!”
