Warbird Roundup 2022: Rare aircraft and record attendance

Take a sunny weekend in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, add about 20 warbirds, and mix with the friendly ambience of the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa. This recipe created the largest crowd on record for the museum’s Warbird Roundup.

First-ever Blakesburg Bendix challenges pilots

For the Blakesburg Bendix, pilots estimated how long it would take them to fly from Hastings Municipal Airport (KHSI) in Nebraska, making stops at Crete Municipal Airport (KCEK) in Nebraska, Red Oak Municipal Airport (KRDK) in Iowa, and Greenfield Municipal Airport (KGFZ) in Iowa, with Blakesburg, Iowa’s Antique Airfield the end of the race during the 2022 Antique Airplane Association Fly-In.

uAvionix STC expanded to include light twins, high-speed pistons

uAvionix has received FAA approval to expand the Approved Model List (AML) for its AV-30-C Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS), adding more than 190 light twin and higher performance single-engine models. The expansion includes popular aircraft from Beechcraft, Piper, Tecnam, Air Tractor, Cirrus, Extra, Howard, Taylorcraft, Cessna, and many others according to company officials.
