2019 to 2021’s most memorable aviation records
The National Aeronautic Association has determined the 11 “most memorable” aviation records from 2018 to 2021, including four related to airplanes, one for model aircraft, and one for a balloon pilot.
New VFR into IMC safety campaign launches
“VFR into IMC is among the top five causes of fatal GA accidents, which are largely preventable,” said ASI Senior Vice President Richard McSpadden. “And it’s not only VFR pilots who get trapped — about one-third of these accidents involve instrument-rated pilots.”

The Hangouts will be Sept. 9-10 at Felts Field Airport (KSFF) in Spokane, Washington, and Nov. 4-5 at Tampa Executive Airport (KVDF) in Tampa, Florida. The Aviator Showcase will be June 16-17 at Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KAFW) in Texas.
