The National Business Aviation Association has scheduled a regional forum March 11 at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Southern California.
The regional forums are single-day learning and networking experiences for regional business aviation communities, according to NBAA officials. The Van Nuys Regional Forum, hosted by Maguire Aviation and TWC Aviation, will provide attendees with practical tools for confronting the economic and workplace challenges facing the industry, organizers note.
The forum will feature:
- More than 60 indoor exhibits;
- Nearly 20 aircraft on static display; and
- Education Sessions focusing on safety, tax and regulatory issues, and flight operations for operators based in California and other Western states.
One of the education sessions, “Current Developments in Business Aviation in California and the West,” will help attendees learn how to obtain current information on the handling of aviation tax issues by California and other Western states, assist in efforts to preserve access to important general aviation airports in the West and understand proposed policies that could tax transient operators in Western states, organizers add.
NBAA staff members also will provide an update on the association’s No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign and the latest legislative developments from Washington, D.C., that are likely to impact business aviation.
