A new 24-hour self-serve mogas fuel station is up and running at Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, Florida. The 1,500-gallon tank dispenses 93 octane/ethanol free unleaded gas that fuels many light sport planes, as well as aircraft with a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) that run on unleaded gasoline. The addition of this fuel supports the ongoing development of Page Field and the services it can provide to its general aviation customers, according to airport officials.
The tank was delivered, installed and received permitting from the Department of Environmental Protection on June 7. The mogas fuel station is located adjacent to the 100LL (avgas) self-service fuel facility off the approach end of Runway 31 at FMY.
More than 300 aircraft, including jets, turboprops, twins, singles and helicopters, are based at Page Field. For more information: FlyFMY.com.
