Aviation groups from around the state of Washington will gather in Olympia Jan. 19 to host the 2016 Airport Awareness Day.
The event is intended to inform legislators and legislative staff about current statewide aviation system issues, initiatives and challenges.
The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, in conference rooms A, B and C of the John A. Cherberg Building on the Capitol Campus in Olympia, Wash.
Representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions and provide general information.
Now in its fourth year, Airport Awareness Day highlights the importance of airports to Washington’s transportation system, economy and quality of life, according to organizers.
Airport Awareness Day is hosted by the Washington State Aviation Alliance, which serves as a collective voice for aviation and aviation-related organizations in the state.
