WAAAM opens its doors for Second Saturday

The SocialFlight.com Event of the Week is the Second Saturday at the Western Antique Airplane and Automobile Museum, this Saturday, Nov. 12, Ken Jernstedt Airfield in Hood River, Oregon.

The museum will open its doors to roll out some of its antique airplanes and cars.

SocialFlightVisitors will be able to watch airplane operations up close and may get to ride in old cars too.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with activities planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The WAAAM Air and Auto Museum’s collection includes a 1917 Curtiss JN-4D Jenny featuring an OX-5 90-hp engine, a Piper Cub and WACO collections, Aeronca collection, Stearman collection and many more aircraft.

There are also more than 130 cars in the collection, including a 1914 Detroit Electric, a Ford Model A, a Packard, a Studebaker or even a Locomobile.

The museum also has a large collection of motorcycles, including Harley Davidsons, Indians, Cushmans and more.
