Jasper County Airport (KRZL) in Rensselaer, Indiana, has just completed a new T-hangar facility.
The approximately $1.24 million project includes eight individual aircraft storage spaces featuring hangar doors measuring 14 feet in height and ranging from 42 to 56 feet in width to accommodate a variety of general aviation aircraft.
Funding was made possible in part by federal infrastructure support through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which was signed into law in November 2021. The airport accumulated approximately $740,000 in federal and state grant funding toward the project, with the remaining costs covered by airport funds.
According to airport officials, the additional hangar capacity addresses an ongoing regional demand for hangars, supports local aviation activity, and positions the facility to accommodate future flight operations.
