The Upset Prevention and Recovery Training Association (UPRTA) International will host the 2026 Safety Summit for Pilots Worldwide on Nov. 17, 2026, to address critical lessons, operational risks, and strategies for preventing Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I).

The free virtual forum brings together pilots, aviation safety professionals, instructors, operators, maintenance specialists, and industry leaders across general, business, commercial, and military aviation.

This year’s summit focuses on returning aircraft to service following maintenance activities, alongside updates from UPRTA working group leads.

Featured presentations include an analysis of Hawker stall flight-test accidents by Captain Kipp Lau and former Raytheon flight test pilot Gary Grommet, as well as sessions by UPRTA President Captain Dave Carbaugh examining maintenance check-flight risks and an Air New Zealand safety case study.
