For more than a decade Cascade Warbirds has teamed with several flight schools in the Puget Sound area to provide scholarship recipients with tuition, books, and supplies to complete private pilot ground school, and two introductory instructional flights. Successful completion of the Private Pilot Ground School will qualify a student to take the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam.

Airport Noise Classification System receives patent
“The technology helps solve a key question in the noise monitoring arena: ‘We have a sound, do we have an airplane?’” said Brad Juffer, the assistant director of terminal operations for the MAC and a co-inventor of the project. “No human or staff can efficiently decipher the thousands of inbound sound events that come through our system daily. Unleaded avgas on track to be at California airports by summer 2023
