They had the opportunity to see airplanes up close and personal. With the smile on Gwen’s face, and the twinkle in Dipper’s eyes, they may become pilot and co-pilot in the very near future!”

An airplane for everyone

You don’t have to be rolling in discretionary income to be an airplane owner. It doesn’t hurt, of course. However, it’s not a prerequisite. If you can afford a motorcycle, or a boat, or a vacation timeshare, you can probably afford to own an airplane. Or a percentage of an airplane which, in all honesty, might be the even better deal for most of us.

Avionics sales top $1 billion in first half of 2021

That’s a 7.1% decrease in total sales compared to the first six months of 2020, according to the Aircraft Electronics Association’s Avionics Market Report. However, AEA officials note that the numbers are trending in a better direction now, with April, May and June 2021 sales increasing by 2.1% over the same time frame a year ago.

New owner for KCHD FBO

Jerry Vultee’s all-metal single-engine V-1 of 1933 foretold the future, but federal restrictions killed its chance as an airliner and just 27 were built.
