The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has made a contribution to the Veteran’s Airlift Command.
As part of an effort around Veteran’s Day, AOPA announced it would contribute 10% of new memberships and renewals between Nov. 11 and Nov. 22 to the Veteran’s Airlift Command, which resulted in AOPA sending a check for $1,380 to the veterans organization.
“The Veterans Airlift Command is a great organization that connects America’s community of pilots with those who have given so much,” said Mark Baker. “We are honored to help them in their effort to serve all those who have served and are in need.”
The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.
