Free Runway Safety Town Hall for GA pilots
The FAA is hosting a free Runway Safety Town Hall for all general aviation pilots July 16, 2021. The live online event will offer best practices and a discussion from GA pilots, air traffic controllers, and runway safety experts. Discussion topics include preflight preparation, situational awareness, focused and clear communications, knowledge of runway geometry and signage, and more, FAA officials explain.
Flight training under attack
“We need to get this flight training issue cleared up as quickly as possible and by any means possible,” said Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) President and CEO Mark Baker. “I can assure you we will not stop until this situation is resolved and common sense prevails.”
Doubling down on Able Flight
“The availability of the adapted Sky Arrow helped inspire the creation of Able Flight, and over the past 15 years, many people have become licensed pilots after training in the Sky Arrow,” said Able Flight’s Founder and Executive Director Charles Stites. “Their plane has been an outstanding training platform for our pilots, and it is gratifying that Magnaghi Aeronautica has now chosen to help support the scholarship program with a financial gift.”
