The donation will enable You Can Fly to introduce more high school students to career opportunities in aviation through the curriculum, which is offered free to schools, AOPA officials said.
Redbird app updated with new features
Redbird Flight Simulations has added several new features to its Redbird Pro app, including monthly VFR and IFR scenarios and the ability for pilots to log airplane flights and other external training events.

Check out Fred Johnsen’s video, which chronicles the bustling radio communications as FAA controllers talk with pilots and each other to safely move huge numbers of airplanes through the airspace around Oshkosh. The familiar call from controllers to pilots: “Rock your wings” is an Oshkosh staple, allowing controllers to positively identify aircraft they are communicating with.

Former Experimental Aircraft Association President Tom Poberezny died July 25, 2022, the opening day of the 69th annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. He was 75.
