According to the report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, aircraft shipments through the second quarter of 2025, when compared to the same period in 2024, saw piston airplanes increase 5.1% to 810, turboprops decrease 4.3% to 268, and business jets increase 9.9% with 354.

About 1/2 hour later we heard a big radial fly over, and then saw a few more planes on approach. Our solitude was broken, it became a fly-in. It was fun to meet all the other weekend flyers, and then to see that beautiful T6 pull in next to me. Over the horizon, metaphorically speaking
The future may be unknowable, but I have complete faith that it will be wonderful. It will include a vibrant version of general aviation. We simply need to dream big and stop telling ourselves, “that will never work.” Rather, we should be asking ourselves, “how could we do that?”

Design flaw leads to loss of control
