48 states in 48 hours
Two pilots achieved their world-record attempt of the fastest journey by plane through all 48 contiguous United States, completing the cross-country voyage in 44 hours and 16 minutes. The pilots hope their flight, which they called 48N48, will inspire a new generation of pilots along the way.
First steps taken for permanent tower at KJYO
The second busiest general aviation airport in the Virginia, Leesburg Executive Airport was the site of a remote tower program until June 14, 2023. The remote tower program was canceled by the FAA, which is paying for a mobile tower and air traffic controllers through the end of September 2023.
Jet Aviation FBOs get upgrades at four airports
The FBO chain’s locations in Scottsdale, Arizona, Bozeman, Montana, Houston, Texas, and Teterboro, New Jersey, have been expanded or refurbished.

FBOs are launching specials for pilots flying to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023, from discounts on fuel to complimentary food and camping.
Car show at air museum to benefit veterans
All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Fargo Air Museum’s veterans program to provide events, community, and support to veterans in the Fargo Moorhead area. This is the third year for the charitable car show at the museum, officials noted.
Miniature GPS introduced
