Common flight board for volunteer pilots in the works

Being a volunteer pilot is great, but sometimes it’s a hassle to see what flights are available — which means some flights don’t happen. To take care of this problem, the Air Care Alliance needs help to create a Common Flight Board that shows opportunities across the nation.

Gary Lanthrum submitted this photo — and video — with a note: “Five planes and pilots from Jefferson County International (0S9) in Washington took advantage of the Washington State Department of Transportation Aviation’s early opening of several state airports in the Cascades on May 25, 2023. We had a great flight in to Skykomish State Airport (S88) and a fabulous lunch at the Whistle Stop cafe in town. The planes included two Maules, a Skywagon, a Carbon Cub, and a Cessna 120.”
