The 27th annual Muskegon CareAffaire benefits Wings of Mercy, a faith-based, non-profit volunteer pilot organization dedicated to helping people in need have access to life-saving medical care by arranging free flights to distant medical facilities.
Applications due June 30 for $50,000 in flight scholarships
In honor of U.S. Army Specialist Ashton Johnson, the CloudDancer Memorial Scholarship will award five recipients $10,000 each towards completing their FAA private pilot training and certification.

Video analyzes banner tow accident
On May 17, 2023, a Piper PA-25 Pawnee towing a billboard banner crashed over Hollywood, Florida. Sadly, the pilot — the sole occupant on board the airplane — died in the accident. No one on the ground was hurt.
Beechcraft museum celebrates golden anniversary
What began as a two-room log cabin established in 1973 has grown in to a 78,000-square-foot, fully climate controlled general aviation museum and campus. Visitors from all across the globe visit daily exploring the 38 exhibited aircraft and historical artifacts of aviation since the beginning of the 19th century.
Breitling celebrates 70 years of its Co-Pilot watch with new releases
Breitling has introduced three new watches based on the Swiss company’s classic AVI Co-Pilot watch, including a limited re-edition of a popular watch from 1964.

Pietenpols with smoke systems are a rarity indeed, much less catching it with the timing of a beautiful sunset to boot!”
Helicopter sales soar in first quarter of 2023
While helicopter sales were up almost 50% from a year ago, airplane deliveries grew just 6.7%, with a 3.5% drop in billings.
Preparing for electric aircraft
The Colorado Division of Aeronautics has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory to conduct a study to help identify “future opportunities and potential challenges posed by the introduction of alternatively powered aircraft in Colorado.”
