The Crossfield Award, founded in 1986 by renowned test pilot Scott Crossfield, recognizes a teacher for his or her exemplary use of aerospace in their classroom.

Cessna 172 Familiarization Course released
The online, multimedia course is “designed to quickly familiarize current or future pilots with the features, limitations, and operating characteristics of the Cessna 172,” according to company officials. “Using 172N and 172S models as sample airplanes, important aircraft systems, limitations, and maneuvers are covered.”

2023 Katherine Wright trophy goes to Julie Clark
Clark is being honored for her “significant contributions to the art and sport of aviation, the success of others, and the promotion of aerospace education for more than a half-century,” according to officials.
ASA updates Introduction to the National Airspace System
The updated book brings together “comprehensive National Airspace System (NAS) information from multiple FAA and other source materials, editing and expanding on them to form a cohesive, all-in-one account of a wide-reaching and complex topic,” according to ASA officials.
